Additional content available for Autumn 2024

With the autumn film season fast approach, we’re pleased to confirm the following films will be available for DCP venues to screen in the coming months. Don’t Forget To Remember (Cert: PG)

Dir: Ross Killeen

This award-winning documentary follows the Irish street artist Asbestos as he and his family learn to navigate his mother’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and cope with her fading memories. The film premiered at the Dublin International Film Festival 2024 where it won the Audience Choice.

Kensuke’s Kingdom (Cert: PG)

Dir: Neil Boyle and Kirk Hendry

A young boy, shipwrecked on a remote island, discovers he’s not alone when he encounters an old Japanese soldier who retreated there after World War II. Written by Frank Cottrell-Boyce from Michael Morpurgo’s beloved 1999 novel, Kensuke’s Kingdom features a voice cast including Sally Hawkins, Cillian Murphy and Ken Watanabe.

City of God (21st anniversary re-release)

Dir: Fernando Meirelles and Kátia Lund

A re-release of the acclaimed, hugely successful 2002 Brazilian crime drama City of God.

Billy Connolly: Big Banana Feet (Cert: 12A)

Dir: Murray Grigor

A re-release and restoration of the rarely seen 1976 documentary following Scottish comedian Billy Connolly on his 1975 Irish tour, a time when he was on the cusp of stardom at home and internationally and had just toured the UK.

My Favourite Cake (Cert: TBC)

Dir: Maryam Moqadam and Behtash Sanaeeha

This Persian-language drama tells the story of seventy-year-old Mahin, who has been living a solitary life when she chooses to revive her love life. A chance encounter becomes an unforgettable evening.
