access>CINEMA to take part in Month of European Film 2024

Film clubs and venues across access>CINEMA’s network will be taking part in the Month of European Film, taking place between November 1 and December 7 2024.

Across the six-week event, 46 members of the access CINEMA Network – based over 22 counties across Ireland – will hold 98 screenings of European feature and documentary films.

Multiple sites across the network will be screening acclaimed recent European titles such as Rose, Kneecap, Io Capitano, That They May Face The Rising Sun, The Crime Is Mine and La Chimera.

Similiar to last year’s event, there is no uniform catalogue or programme for the Month of European Cinema: instead, each participating cinema and film club creates a unique programme according to their expertise and catering to their audience’s taste.

The event comes to a close on December 7, culminating with the 37th European Film Awards in Lucerne.

The Month of European Cinema is supported by the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme of the European Union, with partners including Europa Cinemas, CICAE, DAFilms and MUBI.

access>CINEMA provides audiences throughout Ireland with access to the best of Irish, world and independent cinema, via screenings across its national network of non-profit and voluntary organisations. Its principal funder is the Arts Council of Ireland.

Working with almost 80 different member organisations, access>CINEMA’s roots come from the Irish Federation of Film Societies. While the organisation’s physical offices are based in Dublin, it unites a mixture of professional arts centres and voluntary film societies, both large and small, all over the island of Ireland.
