A special event highlighting the work of acclaimed Irish filmmaker Pat Collins will take place on Inis Oírr this July.
On July 6th, Galway Film Society and Áras Éanna will host the double screening on the island.
The day will begin at 4pm with a screening of John McGahern: A Private World – Collins’ award-winning 2005 documentary about Irish novelist John McGahern. At 8pm, it will be followed by a screening of the director’s hugely successful adaptation of the novelist’s That They May Face the Rising Sun.
Pat Collins will be in attendance to speak about the films.
